DIY Lotion-Bar with Unrefined Shea Butter
I have been hearing about this quite a bit and have been seeing so many ads on Lotion Bars. So, I thought I'd give it a try.
Add the essential oil and give it a quick mix till well combined.
Pour the mixture into soap moulds. If you don't have them, you can also use your ice cube trays. Let it cool till it solidifies hard.
Pop them out of the mould once solid. Tada! Your homemade lotion bars are ready!
To use it on the skin, rub it on as you would your daily lotion.
1) The lotion bars might melt in hot summers. So please do not leave them in your handbags or cars.
2) For a solid-er version of the lotion bar, the wax content can be increased to 1.25 cups.
3) Store them in reusable containers.
4) If you have beeswax bars instead of pellets, break them into smaller pieces before melting.
5) As always, we recommend a patch test before application. Or, if you develop itchiness or redness post-use, kindly discontinue using the bar. Although the bar is 100% natural, some could be allergic to natural butters and oils.
6) The products I have mentioned above are not paid promos. I have personally used them and love them. If you buy through the link mentioned above, I get a small referral fee from Amazon.
